ScholarshipPoints.com Awards Third $10,000 Scholarship of 2009

ScholarshipPoints.com, an Edvisors online education company, recently awarded its third ,000 scholarship of 2009. This award comes just weeks after ScholarshipPoints.com membership surpassed 500,000. Through the free scholarships program, ScholarshipPoints.com is working to defray the ever increasing cost of college for students by giving away up to 0,000 in 2009. Participation in the program is free, and members earn points by participating in surveys, reading helpful blogs, and engaging in other online activities. Accrued points can be exchanged for entries into any scholarship drawing. To ensure funds are used for educational purposes, awards are sent directly to the student’s financial aid office.
Casey Frazier, a first year student at Clarion University in Pennsylvania, became the latest ,000 scholarship winner through the October drawing. “My parents are putting three kids through college with two more on the way. This scholarship will certainly help a lot.”
With it being harder than ever to finance a college education, ScholarshipPoints has significantly increased its financial contributions over the past year. After awarding students a total of ,000 in 2008, the most recent ,000 drawing adds to the 0,000 that ScholarshipPoints is positioned to give away by the end of 2009.
In addition to quarterly ,000 scholarships ScholarshipPoints gives away a number of 0, ,000 and ,500 awards throughout the year. “For some students even 0 can make a big difference in their education,” said Joe Cronin, CEO of Edvisors. “We know that every little bit that we can contribute to a family helps in these financially trying times.”
